North End Vineyard

Our North End Vineyard was part of the original Hoffman holding, about 1 kilometre from the Hoffman Homestead. It’s predominantly shiraz, planted in 1935 so the vines are old. Some gnarly trunks from what used to be bush vines, but we’ve gradually trellised these up. Bruce Redman gives you a virtual tour of what is so special about this Coonawarra vineyard.

John’s Block Vineyard

Our John’s Block Vineyard was purchased in the mid 70’s. Originally there were a couple of acres of old grenache vines with some shiraz. We replanted with merlot which has become an intricate part of some of our premium blends. Named after John Lavia, our Vineyard Manager for over 40 years who also lives on the property and treats the vines as if they were his own. Mal Redman gives you a virtual tour.
